When Brandline Products were approached by Brunel University who were looking to extend their alfresco dining area, we were happy to recommend the Caravita Giant Umbrellas to accompany the surface mounted cafe barriers with heavy duty PVC Brandline Cafe Banners.
Using marine grade stainless steel cafe barriers. a bespoke surface mounted base was designed and manufactured within three weeks to cope with the gravel lined ground that was found at location during the site survey. The Giant umbrellas were specified to allow more tables and chairs to be installed and utilised during service times.
The media was printed at Brandlines’ studio in Daventry and installed using our own installation team.
A stunning installation of Cafe Barriers at Brunel University
Utilising PVC UV stable cafe banners and cross beams which included the patented stainless steel beam ends, Brunel university successfully managed to extend their dining area within four weeks.

The four free standing 3 metre square giant cantilever umbrellas were utilised allowing more space for tables and chairs.
“1966” Branding was applied to the cantilever umbrella hoods giving a uniform appearance. The students now have a much bigger alfresco area available.
The Giant Umbrellas
The Amalfi pendulum cantilever has a powerful arm that lifts its canopy high above any outdoor dining table or seating area.
The offset mast creates plenty of space for tables and chairs. Even when the sun moves during the day, the shade stays where it is needed, because the Amalfi cantilever parasol can be rotated easily by 360° without having to move the base.
The parasol is opens with a crank mechanism. The smooth running winch auto-locks the canopy in any position from completely open to completely closed. This parasol can even be wall mounted.
Shapes
Almafi is extremely versatile. It can be supplied with a square, rectangular or octagonal hood. The maximum square hood is 3M x 3M and the octangonal up to a 4M.

The Cafe Banners
Using only UV stable materials the cafe banners were supplied with 1500mm centres (1286mm banners) and printed on both sides ensuring maximum branding.
The advance posts were modified using engineered adaptors to accept the surface mounts which were designed specifically to the order.
All printing was carried out by Brandline Products.
